Pakistan’s former leg spinner and World Cup winning team member Mushtaq Ahmed has been appointed as thenew spin bowling coach of the Bangladesh national cricket team. He will join the team ahead of the preparation camp for the home T20 series against Zimbabwe The 53-year old, who has performed the spin bowling coach’s role with England (2008-2014), West Indies (2018-2019) and Pakistan (2020-2022) has also held the position of the Pakistan team’s bowling consultant (2014-2016)
About the new responsibility,Saqlain Mushtaq said, “It is a great honor for me to be a
part of the Bangladesh cricket team as a spin bowling coach. I am looking forward to take charge and share my experience among the players.”
He also said, “I always believe that Bangladesh is one of the most dangerous teams in the world. They can beat any team. Because they have ability, strength and talent. I will try to create that trust in them. I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with this team.”
