As a student, Navalny was a curious individual and very determined. He was very good at analyzing complex issues. His ability to demonstrate his works and activism surely symbolizes his strong base of academic education. He graduated from Kalininets Secondary School in 1993. He also attended People’s Friendship University of Russia (PFUR) and graduated with a law degree in 1933. After achieving his law degree, he attended Financial University under the Government of The Russian Federation and successfully achieved his economics degree in 2001. After 9 years in 2010, he received a scholarship to the Yale World Fellows Program at Yale University, a very prestigious program which demonstrates developing leadership. Political Carrier
He started his legal career as a lawyer in 1998. In 2009, he became an advocate and a member of the advocate’s chamber of Kirov Oblast. But, he became a member of the advocate’s chamber of Moscow in 2010 because he moved to Moscow. He was deprived of advocate status in November 2013 because of the Kirovles case.
He then joined the Russian United Democratic Party Yabloko. From that time, he started his political career.
How Navalny Died at The Prison
In 2023, Navalny was sentenced to 19 years imprisonment. He had been suffering from health issues. Next Month, Navalny was transferred from a penal colony east of Moscow to the Polar Wolf colony Kharp, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, in Russia’s Far North. On 15th February, 2024, he attended a court hearing via video link. He was known for his humor. At that hearing, he made jokes about his bank account and the large salary of the judge. It was the 27th time he was sent to solitary confinement.
When He Died
On 16th February of 2024, the Federal Penitentiary Service department of Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug stated that Alexer Navalny lost consciousness after a walk. He was attended by the medical workers of the penal colony and the emergency Medical team was called. It was reported that an ambulance arrived at that spot in less than seven minutes and took necessary initiatives to save Navalny, but he died.
Incidents after His Death
He was officially reported as deceased at 14:17 Yekaterinburg Time. At 14:19 MSK, this death was revealed through the media and on 17th February, the death was confirmed. His mother said that he died from sudden death syndrome. Kyrylo Bundanov claimed that he died of a blood clot. But, Alexander Polupan, a doctor who treated him claimed that the possible blood clot reason cannot be verified without an autopsy and Navalny had no underlying condition that could put him at a risk of thromboembolism.
Then, the dead body of Navalny wasn’t handed over to his family. After a long drama, mother of his, restored his son’s dead body and now Navalny’s funeral will be held on 1st March, 2024.
